Here is the third summary video of Broad.cat 09. Mark Coleran, creator of fantastical interfaces for films, surprised us with a lecture in which he analyzed the auto-concept of a creative author. Coleran asks himself what exactly defines our work: the title that appears on our business card? The work that we do? What others imagine that we do? And what is even more important: does our work define us? In the creativity field, it appears to be so, up to the point where it will affect our state of mind. When work is converted into a way of life, our labours will produce, more than in case of normal wage-earners, great frustrations or happiness. To attract the latter, Coleran affirms that the key lies in being passionate about what we do.
